Exhibitions:
- Gone To Pot: The story of East Lothian’s potteries.
The exhibition traces the history of potteries around the Prestonpans area including Belfields, Gordons and Hillcoat Potteries.
With illustrations by local artist, Michelle McCluskey, the exhibition also includes industrial pieces made at Prestongrange. One highlight of the exhibition includes Mak’Merry Pottery and the story of Catherine Blair, a Suffragist, founder of the Scottish WRI and creator of Mak’Merry Pottery. - The Last Miner’s House: A 1960s Livingroom
Prestongrange Colliery closed in 1962, ending a way of life for local miners. Here, a livingroom from the time of the closure is re-created, highlighting the new designs and technologies of the 1960s, alongside the more traditional aspects of miners’ housing.
