Friday 1st June is the big opening night for our main exhibitions at 3 Harbours — with special events planned at Cockenzie House, the Seashore Gallery and the Power Station.

3 Generations of Colvins.
Born in Glasgow in 1961, Calum Colvin is Professor of Fine Art Photography at Dundee University. Colvin’s artworks are internationally renowned and
widely exhibited. His work is held in numerous collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Museum of Fine Art, Houston; The Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh.
Elma’s passion is textile art and in recent years she has ‘explored a broad range of subject matters and techniques including Pictish/Celtic themes, mythological illustration and animal studies. I have developed a distinctive style that includes a blend of dyed and painted silks, machine embroidery and appliqué mainly, but not exclusively, in large wall hangings.’
Danny is the grandson of Elma and was one of those selected for the RSA Young Contemporaries Exhibition.
The opening of the power station also mark’s the start of Damian Callan’s giant charcoal drawing and a live performance by the The Castaways. 17:30 — 19:00
