Birthday Party
You are invited to our 5th Birthday Party and Ceilidh Opening Night on Friday 28 May 19.00 to 23.00. Entry is £3 per person and tickets are limited. Seafood will be on sale and a cash bar will be available. The Islanders Ceilidh Band are playing from 8pm and in the event of good weather the dancing can spill out on to the green hills. We hope to see you at this special celebration.

Paperboat Launch!
Last year we launched a huge paperboat in Cockenzie Harbour. This year help us launch another paperboat on Friday 28 May at 5.30pm.

Flickr Photowalk
Jon Eland Digital evangelist and photo-imagemaker aims to bring
together people interested in taking photos (and their friends and
family) for a fun, social day. You’re invited to walk with Jon and his
friends through the festival, taking in the events, having a picnic en-route,
sharing your photo tips and snapping away – all in a friendly environment.

Coastal Regeneration
Have your say on the future of the coastline from Prestonpans to Port Seton. These seaside communities have constructed a 3D model of this part of the East
Lothian coastline in order to highlight an initiative of the Coastal Regeneration
Group. The group is made up of members of the community from
Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port Seton, are keen that everyone has a
chance to contribute to the regeneration of the area they live in.

The Mural Fest 4th/5th/6th JUNE
This is a regular event held in the grounds of Cuthill Park.
Inspired by the poems of local Poet Laureate, John Lindsay, you can see
the muralists develop large scale paintings from small sketches over a
few days.

Cockenzie Power Station
With over thirty artists, exhibiting more than a hundred works of art, the Power
Station exhibition promises to be an exciting show. This mixed media
selling exhibition is one of the largest art exhibitions held in East Lothian.
Paintings, sculpture, glass work and jewellery are among the work on
show from a range of talented artists.

Boatie Blest Festival 5th JUNE
Cockenzie and Port Seton have begun an exciting community
project initiated by the Scottish Coastal Rowing Project. (www.
scottishcoastalrowing.org) Two St Ayles skiff kits were purchased, one of
which is being built and will be rowed by the pupils of Preston Lodge High
School and the second kit has been built by the community of Cockenzie
and Port Seton at Port Seton Harbour.
Visit the Boatie Blest shed at Port Seton Harbour to see this beautiful
traditional boat. The skiff will take to the water at the Boatie Blest Festival
on Saturday 5 June.
